Servotech Enters Electric Three-Wheeler Segment, Expands Clean Mobility Portfolio

Servotech Renewable Power System Ltd has announced its entry into the electric three-wheeler (E-3W) segment, marking a strategic expansion of its clean mobility portfolio. The announcement was made during the company’s annual flagship event, SUNKALP, underscoring Servotech’s intent to strengthen its presence in India’s rapidly evolving electric mobility ecosystem.

The move builds on Servotech’s established expertise in solar energy and EV charging infrastructure, extending its focus into lithium-ion battery solutions for micro-mobility applications.

Product Launches for Electric Three-Wheelers

As part of its E-3W foray, Servotech unveiled SULTAN, a lithium-ion battery developed specifically for electric three-wheelers, along with Zest, a dedicated battery charger designed to improve charging efficiency and vehicle uptime.

Key product highlights include:

  • SULTAN Li-ion battery variants:
    • 51.2V / 105Ah
    • 64V / 105Ah
  • Battery chemistry: LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate)
  • Target vehicles: E-Rickshaws, E-Autos, E-Cargo vehicles
  • Charger: Zest – purpose-built E-3W charger

The SULTAN battery uses LFP chemistry, offering enhanced safety, longer life cycles, reduced weight, and improved payload capacity. The Zest charger has been engineered to reduce charging time while ensuring battery protection and operational reliability for OEMs, dealers, and fleet operators.

Addressing India’s Fast-Growing E-3W Market

India’s electric three-wheeler segment is among the fastest-growing categories in the country’s EV landscape, driven by urbanisation, increasing demand for last-mile connectivity, and supportive policy frameworks. Servotech’s entry reflects a targeted strategy to address the energy needs of micro-mobility and small transport entrepreneurs, particularly in urban and semi-urban markets.

By offering an integrated battery and charging solution, the company aims to address key industry challenges such as durability, charging consistency, and total cost of ownership.

Expansion Beyond Mobility: Solar Inverter Launch

Alongside its mobility-focused products, Servotech also introduced Voltie, a 2 kW on-grid solar inverter designed for residential and small commercial applications. The launch reinforces the company’s continued commitment to the renewable energy segment.

Voltie has been engineered for seamless grid integration and supports Servotech’s broader vision of delivering end-to-end clean energy solutions that span both mobility and stationary power applications.

Leadership Commentary

Commenting on the development, Raman Bhatia, Managing Director, Servotech Renewable Power System Ltd., said the company’s entry into the electric three-wheeler segment is a natural extension of its clean energy journey.

He noted that Servotech has built strong capabilities in solar energy and EV charging and is now leveraging that foundation to expand into lithium-ion solutions for micro-mobility. He added that while the company has initially launched two battery models and one charger variant, additional products and configurations are planned to deepen market presence in the coming years.

According to him, the electric three-wheeler market holds significant potential not only for sustainable transportation but also for empowering small transport operators across India.

Why This Development Matters

Servotech’s entry into the E-3W segment highlights the growing convergence of renewable energy, energy storage, and electric mobility. Key implications include:

  • Strengthening domestic EV component manufacturing
  • Improving reliability and efficiency in last-mile electric transport
  • Supporting clean mobility adoption at the grassroots level
  • Expanding integrated clean energy solutions across sectors

The combination of batteries, chargers, and solar inverters positions Servotech as a diversified clean energy solutions provider.

Industry Outlook

As India accelerates its transition toward electric mobility and decentralised renewable energy, demand for reliable lithium-ion batteries, efficient charging systems, and grid-connected solar solutions is expected to rise steadily. Companies with cross-domain expertise in power electronics and energy systems are likely to gain a competitive edge.

Servotech’s latest product launches signal a long-term strategy focused on innovation, scale, and alignment with India’s clean energy and sustainability goals.
