Rajesh Power Services Limited has marked its entry into the utility-scale battery energy storage segment after securing a 65 MW / 130 MWh standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Gujarat. The company received a Letter of Intent (LoI) for the project from Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL).

The development represents a strategic diversification for Rajesh Power, traditionally known for its power transmission and distribution capabilities, as it expands into grid-scale energy storage infrastructure.


Project Details

The standalone BESS project will be developed at Virpore in Gujarat and has been awarded through a tariff-based competitive bidding process. The project will receive Viability Gap Funding (VGF) support through the Power System Development Fund (PSDF).
