LNK Energy, a next-generation integrated clean energy platform, has announced its official launch with a planned investment of ₹10,000 crore over the next five years, marking a major new entry into India’s rapidly expanding clean energy and manufacturing landscape. Backed by experienced entrepreneurs and a long-term capital vision, LNK Energy will operate across advanced manufacturing, green fuels, and renewable energy generation, supporting India’s energy security and decarbonisation goals.
As part of its launch, the company also unveiled its first flagship project—a 6 GW solar cell and module manufacturing facility with integrated ingot and wafer production, to be developed at Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra. The project represents one of the largest integrated solar manufacturing initiatives announced in the country and underscores LNK Energy’s commitment to building globally competitive clean energy infrastructure under the Make in India initiative.
Integrated Manufacturing at the Core of LNK Energy’s Strategy
LNK Energy’s manufacturing strategy is anchored in end-to-end participation across the solar value chain, from ingot and wafer production to high-efficiency solar cells and modules. The proposed facility will be spread across more than 60 acres and will leverage advanced manufacturing technologies and global best practices to deliver high-performance solar products for both domestic and international markets.
The company has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Maharashtra to set up the manufacturing project, further reinforcing state-level support for large-scale renewable energy manufacturing investments.
Once operational, the facility is expected to significantly contribute to domestic capacity creation, reduce dependence on imports, and strengthen India’s position as a global solar manufacturing hub.
Founders Bring Deep Industrial and Energy Expertise
LNK Energy has been co-founded by a group of experienced entrepreneurs with strong backgrounds in manufacturing, energy, and infrastructure:
- Paritosh Ladhani, Joint Managing Director of SLMG Beverages, India’s largest Coca-Cola bottler, brings decades of experience in scaling complex manufacturing and supply-chain businesses.
- Dr Kushagra Nandan, Co-Founder, Chairman and Managing Director of REnergy Dynamics (RED) and former Managing Director of SunSource Energy, adds deep expertise in renewable energy platforms and long-term asset development.
- Varun Karad, BioEnergy Entrepreneur and Co-Founder & CEO of RED, contributes experience across bioenergy, renewables, and integrated clean energy solutions.
Together, the founding team brings a combination of industrial scale, technology depth, and capital discipline, positioning LNK Energy as a long-term institution in India’s clean energy ecosystem.
Expansion into Green Fuels and Energy Storage
Beyond solar manufacturing, LNK Energy plans to progressively expand into green fuels, with a strong focus on Green Hydrogen, aimed at enabling the decarbonisation of hard-to-abate industrial sectors. The company’s green fuels strategy will be driven by scalable, technology-led solutions that integrate renewable power generation with hydrogen production.
In parallel, LNK Energy intends to manufacture key adjacencies such as junction boxes, battery platforms, and energy storage components, supporting the development of a robust and resilient domestic clean energy supply chain.
Building a Renewable Energy Generation Portfolio
Following the establishment of its manufacturing base, LNK Energy will also develop a renewable energy generation portfolio as an Independent Power Producer (IPP) and through hybrid open access solutions. These projects will integrate solar, energy storage, and other renewable energy sources, creating a fully integrated platform that spans manufacturing, green fuels, and operating assets.
This integrated approach is designed to deliver reliable, scalable, and cost-effective clean energy solutions for industrial and commercial consumers while enhancing long-term value creation.
Leadership Commentary
Commenting on the launch, Paritosh Ladhani, Co-Founder, LNK Energy, said that scale, quality, and execution discipline are non-negotiable in manufacturing. He noted that LNK Energy aims to bring the same institutional mindset and global standards that have defined his experience in large manufacturing businesses to clean energy manufacturing.
Dr Kushagra Nandan, Co-Founder, LNK Energy, added that the company has been conceived as a long-term institution, not a short-cycle opportunity, at a time when energy security, industrial self-reliance, and decarbonisation are becoming national priorities. He emphasised LNK Energy’s focus on combining scale, technology depth, and disciplined capital allocation.
Varun Karad, Co-Founder, LNK Energy, highlighted that the future of energy lies in integration, where manufacturing, green fuels, and renewable power operate together. He said the company has been structured to address this convergence using advanced technologies to deliver sustainable energy solutions for industry and the economy.
Advancing India’s Clean Energy Ambitions
LNK Energy’s launch and investment plan reflect a broader trend of large-scale, integrated clean energy platforms emerging in India. By aligning manufacturing, fuels, and power generation, the company aims to play a meaningful role in advancing India’s energy transition, industrial growth, and net-zero ambitions.
