WattPower Supports School Infrastructure

WattPower, guided by its core purpose ‘Wired for Good’, has supported a series of education infrastructure and student welfare initiatives at Round Table Abhinav Vidyalay in Mirzamurad, Varanasi, reinforcing its commitment to community development, clean energy awareness, and inclusive growth.

The initiative was undertaken in partnership with Varanasi Round Table 196 and Varanasi Ladies Circle 129, combining corporate responsibility with grassroots community engagement to strengthen the school’s learning environment and overall student well-being.

Strengthening Education Infrastructure in Rural Communities

Round Table Abhinav Vidyalay currently provides education to more than 450 students, many of whom come from rural and underserved backgrounds. To address space constraints and rising enrolment, the collaboration has enabled the construction of four additional classrooms, which are currently underway.

Once completed, the expansion will allow the school to accommodate over 100 additional students by March, ensuring improved access to structured education and reducing overcrowding in existing classrooms. The new infrastructure is expected to enhance learning outcomes by creating a more conducive and organised academic environment for both students and teachers.

Education infrastructure remains a critical challenge in many rural areas, and initiatives such as this play a vital role in bridging gaps in access and quality. By supporting classroom expansion, WattPower and its partners are directly contributing to long-term educational capacity building at the community level.

A Holistic Approach to Student Well-Being

Beyond physical infrastructure, the initiative reflects a holistic approach to education, recognising that student development extends beyond classrooms alone. Alongside construction support, the collaboration has focused on student welfare and awareness, reinforcing the importance of health, access, and early exposure to sustainability concepts.

The programme aims to create a learning ecosystem where students not only receive formal education but are also encouraged to develop awareness around clean energy, sustainability, and responsible resource use—themes that align closely with WattPower’s work in the solar energy sector.

Such early engagement helps nurture environmentally conscious mindsets among young learners, empowering them to become informed citizens as India advances its renewable energy and sustainability goals.

Clean Energy Awareness and Social Responsibility

WattPower’s ‘Wired for Good’ initiative reflects the company’s belief that clean energy companies have a broader role to play in social development and awareness-building, especially in communities where access to information and infrastructure may be limited.

By integrating education support with sustainability awareness, WattPower aims to demonstrate how renewable energy adoption and social progress can move hand in hand. The initiative in Varanasi serves as an example of how clean energy companies can extend their impact beyond installations and projects to enable meaningful change at the grassroots level.

Leadership Perspective

Commenting on the initiative, Divya Prakash Chororia, CEO & Co-Founder, WattPower, emphasised the deeper purpose behind the programme:

“Wired for Good is personal to me because real impact goes beyond what we install—it’s about what we enable. Whether it’s expanding access to education, improving daily well-being, or sparking early awareness around sustainability, this belief defines how WattPower shows up in everything we do.”

His remarks underscore the company’s philosophy that corporate impact should be measured not only in megawatts installed, but also in lives improved and opportunities created.

Community Collaboration as a Catalyst for Change

The partnership with Varanasi Round Table 196 and Varanasi Ladies Circle 129 highlights the importance of collaborative community-led initiatives in driving sustainable development. By combining local engagement, volunteer networks, and corporate support, the initiative ensures that interventions are needs-driven, inclusive, and impactful.

Such collaborations are increasingly recognised as effective models for addressing social challenges, particularly in education and rural development, where long-term outcomes depend on community ownership and sustained support.

Building Foundations for a Sustainable Future

The Varanasi school initiative is part of WattPower’s broader commitment to aligning clean energy innovation with social responsibility. As India accelerates its transition toward renewable energy, parallel investments in education and awareness are essential to building a workforce and citizenry that understands and supports sustainable development.

By strengthening school infrastructure, supporting student welfare, and promoting clean energy awareness, WattPower is contributing to a future where education, sustainability, and community development reinforce each other.

The ‘Wired for Good’ initiative demonstrates how purpose-driven organisations can play a meaningful role in shaping inclusive growth while advancing India’s clean energy transition.
