LEAPTING Intelligent has signed a smart equipment supply agreement with India’s leading energy conglomerate, Adani Group, to support a 2 GW utility-scale solar photovoltaic project with advanced automated cleaning solutions. The agreement focuses on improving operational efficiency and energy output through intelligent, waterless solar panel cleaning technologies.
Under the partnership, LEAPTING Intelligent will supply its automatic navigation dry-hanging cleaning robots, along with an integrated intelligent cleaning service system. These solutions are designed to enhance performance and reliability at large-scale solar installations, particularly in challenging environmental conditions.
Strengthening Utility-Scale Solar Operations
The latest deal follows LEAPTING Intelligent’s recent 1 GW project cooperation agreement with ReNew Power, underscoring the company’s expanding footprint in India’s rapidly growing renewable energy market. The collaboration directly supports India’s clean energy ambitions by addressing one of the most critical operational challenges faced by utility-scale solar plants—panel soiling and efficiency loss.
Adani Group is among the world’s largest solar energy developers, with operations spanning photovoltaic manufacturing, project development, and renewable energy infrastructure. Ranked among India’s top solar module suppliers, the group has set an ambitious target of achieving 45 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030.
Long-Standing Strategic Partnership
LEAPTING Intelligent, also known as Litian Intelligent, has maintained a long-term strategic partnership with the Adani Group. To date, the company has deployed its intelligent solar cleaning robot solutions across nearly 7 GW of Adani’s photovoltaic projects, reinforcing its role as a key technology partner in India’s solar ecosystem.
Tackling Harsh Environmental Conditions
The 2 GW solar project is located in a region prone to frequent dust storms, high temperatures, and high humidity—factors that can significantly reduce solar power generation. Industry studies indicate that dust accumulation alone can cause 20% to 40% power losses, while traditional manual or water-based cleaning methods are often inefficient, costly, and unsustainable at scale.
To overcome these challenges, LEAPTING will deploy its Automatic Navigation Dry-Hanging Cleaning Robots, which are already widely used across large-scale solar plants in India. The fully automated, waterless cleaning technology is engineered to operate efficiently in harsh environments, addressing issues related to dust intensity, water scarcity, and complex site conditions.
By ensuring consistent cleaning performance, the solution enhances system reliability, improves power generation efficiency, and supports the long-term sustainability of large solar assets.
