Waaree Transpower has marked a significant milestone in India’s clean energy infrastructure landscape by securing inverter duty transformer (IDT) orders exceeding ₹100 crore within just one month of commencing operations.
The combined orders account for 1,275 MVA (1.27 GW) and have been placed by a leading solar EPC company for deployment across multiple high-capacity solar power projects throughout the country. The rapid order inflow highlights strong market confidence in Waaree Transpower’s engineering capabilities and product reliability.
This achievement comes amid India’s accelerated renewable energy growth phase. The country added more than 10 GW of solar capacity in FY25 and is targeting annual renewable additions of around 50 GW to achieve its ambitious goal of 500 GW non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030. As utility-scale solar projects expand rapidly, the demand for robust, grid-compliant electrical infrastructure has grown sharply.
Waaree Transpower’s inverter duty transformers are designed to operate efficiently in high-frequency switching environments, manage harmonic distortions, and perform reliably under variable solar generation conditions. These capabilities make them well-suited for modern solar installations that require stable power evacuation and long-term grid resilience.
Commenting on the milestone, Mr. Ankit Doshi, Director at Waaree Transpower, said the swift achievement of over 1.27 GW in transformer orders reflects the company’s focus on engineering excellence, execution discipline, and customer-centric solutions. He added that as India scales its renewable energy capacity at record speed, Waaree Transpower remains committed to delivering dependable infrastructure that supports the nation’s clean energy transition.
The transformers will be deployed across several states for utility-scale solar projects, contributing to India’s growing renewable pipeline of more than 70 GW under development. By enhancing grid stability and improving power evacuation efficiency, these deployments will support higher renewable energy penetration across the national grid.
Engineered for next-generation string and central inverter configurations, Waaree Transpower’s high-performance IDTs offer reduced energy losses, advanced thermal management, improved durability in high-temperature conditions, and higher system uptime—ensuring reliable performance over the long term for solar developers.
