ACME Solar Holdings Limited has commissioned an additional 8 MW of wind power capacity as part of its 100 MW wind energy project located in Surendranagar district, Gujarat. The project is being developed through its subsidiary, ACME Eco Clean Energy Pvt Ltd.
With this latest phase coming online, the operational capacity of the wind project has increased to 52 MW, following the earlier phased commissioning of 44 MW. The commissioning process was carried out in the presence of officials from the Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA) and Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited (PGVCL), with the commissioning minutes officially recorded. The formal commissioning certificate is expected to be issued soon.
This development further strengthens ACME Solar’s overall renewable energy footprint, taking the company’s total operational capacity to 2,942 MW across India.
The wind project is financed by Power Finance Corporation (PFC) and has been executed using ACME Solar’s in-house engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) capabilities. The project deploys advanced 4 MW wind turbines supplied by SANY, supporting efficient power generation and long-term operational reliability.
Electricity generated from the wind facility will be sold under a long-term 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL), ensuring stable revenue visibility for the project.
ACME Solar Holdings Limited is a fully integrated renewable energy company with a diversified portfolio covering solar, wind, energy storage, firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE), and hybrid solutions.
